Mossgrain is the work of Vasilis Karkalas, a Greek nature and landscape photographer living between Greece and the United States. It started with a hike at the Grand Canyon — and a feeling that wouldn't go away. The scale of it, the colour, the silence. Vasilis wanted to capture it, but not just as a record. He wanted to capture it differently.
That curiosity became a passion, and the passion became Mossgrain. From the sun-bleached coastlines of Greece to the rust-red plateaus of Utah and the thermal wonders of Yellowstone, every photograph in this collection is the result of getting up early, staying late, and waiting for the light to do something extraordinary.
